
Create new products with custom injection moulding
Didak Injection has its own design facilities to create and monitor new products. In the area of custom injection moulding, we seek to be involved in the project from as early a stage as possible, so that the maximum possible consideration may be given to the optimal mould construction and various significant injection-moulding criteria (such as flow path, wall thickness and other parameters) in addition to the product’s functional requirements.
Custom injection moulding: The start of a new product
• Product assessment :
After assessing the product requirements, we start to produce the concept of the new product and implement the results in an initial 3-D drawing.These first drawings are presented to the customer so that his feedback can be incorporated and the product can be customised to the desired optimum state.
At this stage, product development also needs to take account of the injection moulding and tooling ‘patterns’ in order to anticipate efficient and economical tooling construction.
• Engineering :
The tooling construction not only needs to be executed economically but also needs to lead to reliable production through smart engineering: the product needs to maintain the same dimensions and tolerances over the years and after hundred thousands of shots.
Smart engineering also means avoiding delicate systems which could cause unexpected interruptions in production and often expensive tooling repairs: the right injection system or hot-runner system, good ventilation of air traps as well as preventing the ejection system from becoming the bottleneck of your cycle time.
All of this know-how is widely available in our factory.
• Prototyping :
Rapid prototyping in combination with our 3-D drawings can be delivered within very short time-frames in the product development process.
• Project control :
During these different stages of development and construction your sales account will update you on a regular basis concerning tooling construction and first trials which will lead to the definitive product approval.
