Attract more customers with two component multi-colour plastics
Two component injection moulding is the process of feeding two different melts into one mould, one after another. The melts should make contact with each other but should not flow into one another. In other words, the resulting composites may be permanent or it may be possible to move the individual components separately.
Two component injection moulding technology is ideal for using the same material in different colours or two different materials in the same or in different colours. Thanks to their higher visibility, multi-coloured plastics will attract more customers. This can also be achieved by using our personalised in-mould labelling technology.
Why opt for two-component injection moulding?
Different advantages are gained from the two component injection moulding procedure:
• a multi-colour technique is possible
• material savings, as is the case with our gas assisted injection moulding technology
• integration of three-dimensional components
• reduced assembly costs
• improved design
Two component injection moulding: both for everyday and for technical use
The use of two component injection moulding makes it possible to produce parts that satisfy stringent specifications. These may be multi-part / multi-colour products for everyday use, such as:
• toys
• food packaging (see also our collapsible plastic crates to transport fresh foods and our plastic crates for beverages)
or products for technical use, such as:
• electrical equipment
• engineering components such as rollers, sealing elements, rubber bearings, etc.
